Sunsynk F20 fault: DC over-current (hardware)
Call a qualified installer
Urgency: medium
What it means
Too much current flowed on the battery or solar (DC) side and the inverter tripped to protect itself. If it happens more than once it needs an installer.
Likely causes
- Very heavy load while running on battery
- Battery or DC-side fault
- Internal inverter fault
Don't try to fix this yourself
While you wait for a pro, you can:
- Avoid starting several heavy appliances at the same time while running on battery.
- Restart the inverter once using its documented switch-off and switch-on procedure.
When to call a pro
Call a qualified installer now. Switch off heavy loads and don't try to repair anything yourself.
Solar systems carry dangerous voltages. Only do the safe checks listed. If unsure, call a pro.

Sunsynk inverters are built on the Deye platform and use the same F-codes. Check your Sunsynk manual if anything differs.
